Changing the Locks on a House

When you have moved in to a new home that is the best time to consider changing the locks on a house. You cannot be sure who may have a copy of the keys to your house unless all locks are re-keyed or replaced!

If you are worried about people gaining access to your home or breaking in, talk to our locksmiths about our different systems that can help increase the security of your home. Toowoomba Locksmiths is passionate about home security! We have options that restrict who can cut keys, digital locking systems, bump resistant options and CCTV camera systems that can be used in order to create extra home security. These systems may initially cost more than off the shelf locks, however the added security helps ensure no unwanted visitors can enter your home!

We also recommend that you change the codes to any alarm or locking systems that require codes as soon as you move in, as well as, on a regular basis.

We suggest adding other forms of security such as, CCTV, door chains, and deadbolts. This will help enhance home security and will deter intruders. The harder it is to get in the less likely an intruder is to try.

My husband and I moved in to a new house a few months ago and we have never thought about changing our locks. It does seem like a really good way to make sure that no one has a key though. We may have to call a locksmith and get everything changed out. Thank you for sharing.
